Upcoming Events You Don't Want to Miss!

Our annual Christmas Party is coming up! Current dues paying club members are invited to The Dana Point Woman’s Club in Dana Point for tacos, music, awards and a lot of fun on Saturday, December 9. Entry to the party is $20/family which will be donated to the Surf and Turf Therapy. We’ve worked closely with them throughout the year. Click here to RSVP, or click on the image. The 35th Annual Dale Velzy Surf Classic and Luau was held on Saturday, October 7. Hosted by the Doheny Longboard Surfing Assocation, this event was a huge success and a lot of fun. Thank you to all the competitors, luau attendees and most importantly our club volunteers! This event was a success because of your dedication and hard work.

It’s time for our annual holiday party. We’ll have delicious food, prizes, awards and just a general merry atmosphere. Live music lead by our very own Katie Caulkins.

This is party is open to current DLSA members 2023 members. There is a $20 entry fee for all members & their family that attends. This year we’ll be donating the proceeds to Surf and Turf Therapy (@surfandturftherapy). The organization does an amazing job year round & we’re stoked to partner with this amazing organization and the beautiful work they do.

After a long day in the water and in the sand we h

After a long day in the water and in the sand we headed over to the picnic area of Doheny and had an amazing time at the annual luau. Boards were raffled off, trophies were handed out to the contestants who just killed it all day long.

Delicious drinks in hand, provided by the always generous Los Molinos Beer Company (@losmolinosbeer), we danced the night away to the music of Andrew Lavin, the Soul Surfers, and Lay Polynesia.

A big-big shout out to our food crew that made sure everyone had the best food at the beach. We couldn’t put on this even without all our club members who volunteer their time and energy to help out however they can. This event wouldn’t be possible without them.

We’d also love to congratulate Dr. Jillian Stwea

We’d also love to congratulate Dr. Jillian Stweart on her recent marriage and it was an awesome opportunity to have a little Bride and Groom surf during the 2023 Velzy.

Dr. Jillian does a ton of work with the community and is the founder of Surf and Turf Therapy. We couldn’t have been more stoked than to give them, and their friends and family, a little time alone in the famous Boneyard break.

We were super stoked to be able to provide two heats for the kids from the amazing Surf N Turf program. These kids are fearless in the water and can’t hold back their stoke.

We were told by Dr. Jillian Stweart that the kids were pumped!!! One young grom even told her that this was the best they’d ever surfed, and we love to hear that!!!!

Surf N Turf (@surfandturftherapy) is a therapy group that the DLSA works with to provide opportunities for young groms to get out in the water or on horseback.
